Wild Youth will represent Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2023 with the song We Are One, after winning the Eurosong. The Irish event took place this Friday.
There were six contestants, but also guest performers – including Niamh Kavanagh, with the song she led to the victory at ESC 1993, In Your Eyes.
With the maximum score from the public and the Irish jury, Wild Youth also came in second for the international jury. The group ended up winning with 34 points, two more than Connolly, who was the favourite of the international jury.
