On Thursday, February 29, Switzerland will unveil its representative at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2024. There is already speculation surrounding a name: Nemo.
The newspaper Blick cites independent sources from the Swiss music scene. However, there has been no official response from the broadcaster SRF or Nemo’s management.
As in previous years, Switzerland has chosen its representative away from the public eye. The selection was made by an international panel consisting of 240 members of the public jury and 30 international professional jurors from 20 countries. A total of 472 songs were submitted for consideration.
Nemo already has three EPs to their name, with their single Du reaching fourth place in the Swiss charts and earning Gold and Platinum certifications. At 24 years old, Nemo identifies themselves as non-binary.
