After several months of uncertainty, it’s now official: Poland will remain in the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) in 2025.

The broadcaster TVP announced this Friday that it will participate in the event next May in Switzerland. It also opened submissions for the national selection, which will culminate in a final on February 14. Voting will be entirely by the public.

The song submission window runs until December 4. Candidates must be at least 16 years old by May 1, 2025, and hold Polish citizenship (for bands or groups, this requirement only applies to the lead vocalist).

ESC rules apply, including a maximum song length of three minutes, and entries must not have been performed or made public before September 2024.

The song must be original and cannot be an arrangement of traditional folk melodies. Lyrics must be in one of the following languages: Polish, Armenian, Belarusian, Czech, Slovak, French, English, German, Italian, Lemko, Karaim, Kashubian, Lithuanian, Roman, Tatar, Ukrainian, or Sign Language. Language mixing is allowed.
