Ireland remains in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC) in 2023. The selection process of the country’s representative is once again the Junior Eurovision Éire and the applications are now open.
The broadcaster TG4, which continues to be responsible for the Irish participation, opened the application for the national selection this Friday. The submission window will remain open until February 15th.
Solo artists and groups of up to six children can compete. They must be aged between 9 and 14 next fall and be Irish citizens or reside in the country.
Last year, Ireland achieved its best result ever at JESC, with the fourth place grabbed by Sophie Lennon. The young singer performed the song Solas.
