© Becky Lee One of the major highlights of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC) 2024 is the return of Cyprus, seven years after its last participation.
The country will be represented by Maria Pissarides with the song Crystal Waters. Will she be able to improve on Cyprus’ last place in 2017?

- Maria Pissarides is 11 years old. She is not only a singer but also a skilled dancer who has performed in several musical theatre productions. She also writes her own songs and was recognized in the European Radio 2023 competition. The young Cypriot currently studies performing arts in the United Kingdom.
