BRAGI and Diljá are the first finalists of Söngvakeppnin 2023, Iceland’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC). The first semi-final took place this Saturday.
Before the five competing performances, the show began with the guest performer Friðrik Dór, who sang the song Dönsum eins og hálfvitar. The first participant to take the stage was Benedikt, while MÓA ended the running order.
At the end of the semi-final, the two finalists were announced, based only in the public voting: BRAGI and Diljá. The remaining three contestants can still qualify for the final through a wildcard that broadcaster RÚV could assign.
