Image credits: © Dennis Stachel (EBU) Anouk is aiming to represent the Netherlands once again at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025, set to take place in May in Basel, Switzerland.
The artist, who previously competed in 2013, shared on RTL Boulevard that this time her entry will not be a melancholy ballad like Birds, but rather “a very strong song. She further commented: “You can breathe a sigh of relief. There won’t be any birds falling from the rooftops”, referencing the lyrics from her 2013 song [«Birds falling down the rooftops»].
Back in July, Anouk hinted that she had a song “perfect for Eurovision”. Recently, her manager also mentioned on Instagram @eurovision__news that there are songs ready, awaiting a possible invitation from the Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS.
There are no details yet on the Netherlands’ selection process for ESC 2025, though in recent years, the representative has been selected through an internal process.
